Melissa Bakery sits on a quiet stretch of 5th Avenue where the morning light pours through tall windows and the scent of butter and brown sugar greets you before you even turn the corner.
We are a small, hands-on bakery — every croissant folded by hand, every loaf scored and baked in our own stone hearth, every cup of coffee pulled from a machine we calibrate each morning. We don't do mass production. We do craft.
Our ingredients are sourced from local farms and specialty mills. Our recipes have been refined over years, not weeks. And our doors open at dawn because we believe the best part of your day starts with what you choose to eat first.
Our Specialties

Butter Croissants
72-hour laminated dough, French butter, folded to 27 layers. Crisp outside, honeycomb inside.
Sourdough Loaves
Wild yeast starter, stone-milled flour, 18-hour cold ferment. Crusty, tangy, alive.
Specialty Coffee
Single-origin beans, small-batch roasted. Espresso, pour-over, or a perfectly pulled cortado.
Seasonal Tarts
Shortcrust pastry, vanilla bean crème pâtissière, and whatever the market offers that morning.
